Best Friends
Maya's friend has told her she isn’t her BFF, but Maya doesn't know what a BFF is.
We're all hooked by the negative. Kids, just like adults, feel rejection and cling to that feeling. The problem is that focusing on the rejection leads to missed opportunities staring you in the face. Illustrations by Rohan Corlosquet.
🔍 Behind the Scenes
What inspired you to write your books?
My children’s book series originated from a collaboration with my illustrator son, Rohan, who is currently attending primary school.
What’s something readers might not know about you?
It took me 25 years of banging my head to realize my calling of writing books.
What’s next for you?
A middle-grade novella with illustrations with @algebutter and A Lion’s Head, a historical fantasy retelling of Nara Simha’s origins.
